Non-Criminal Matters

The Office of the District Attorney is in charge of every criminal prosecution in the Parish of East Baton Rouge.  Our office can only represent the State of Louisiana.  We can not represent any individual in a civil proceeding.

Persons seeking an attorney to represent them in divorce proceedings, child custody cases, contract disputes, evictions, or any other civil law matter will need to obtain an attorney through other means.  As with any profession, often the best referral will come from a friend of yours who has previously used an attorney for a similar matter.
